Kenny Kane is an executive and author based in Austin, Texas. What is he researching?
His research interests are in organizational durability and executive dependency: why an organization’s capacity to execute concentrates in a small number of individuals, and what documentation, process design, and technology actually transfer when those individuals leave. The questions will narrow as the coursework does.
Why a doctorate after twenty years of operating?
The same failure kept recurring across every organization he has run: capability and judgment end up living somewhere fragile, and hold only as long as someone is there to explain them. The three books are the practitioner record of that problem. The doctorate is the attempt to study it formally rather than only solve it case by case.
Where is he studying?

What is Firmspace?
Firmspace provides private offices and proworking environments for professionals who need focus, privacy, and confidentiality — attorneys, consultants, finance teams, and executives. It differs from open-plan coworking in that the space is private by default. Kenny Kane is CEO and is responsible for national operations: finance, HR, compliance, legal, IT, AV, security, construction, and facilities.
What is proworking?
Proworking distinguishes private, professional-grade flexible office space from open-plan coworking. Where coworking emphasizes shared desks and communal space, proworking provides private offices with walls, doors, sound isolation, and staffed service. What is the Testicular Cancer Foundation?
The Testicular Cancer Foundation is a national nonprofit focused on testicular cancer awareness, early detection, and support for those affected. Kenny Kane has been CEO since 2016, leading strategy, fundraising, and programming.
What is Gryt Health?
Gryt Health is a digital health company that connects people affected by cancer to community, clinical trial information, and peer support. Kenny Kane is a Co-Founder, Board Member, and Chief Technology Officer.
What was his role at Stupid Cancer?
He spent six years at Stupid Cancer, joining as an intern and leaving as Chief Operating Officer, with responsibility for operations, technology, events, merchandise, and partnerships.
